The Workday Solutions Architect plays a critical role in the design, governance, and optimization of integrations and boundary systems that interface directly with Workday platforms in complex enterprise environments. Workday Solutions Architect - Summary- Lead the architecture, design, and optimization of integrations and boundary systems for Workday platforms.
- Drive the strategic direction and modernization of technical solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- Collaborate closely with IT, business leadership, and external partners to ensure secure, scalable, and sustainable platform interoperability.
- Design target-state architecture for Workday boundary systems and third-party platforms across multiple business domains, including HR, Payroll, Finance, Research, and Learning.
- Define integration, identity, and data exchange patterns utilizing APIs, middleware, file transfers, web services, and event-driven methodologies.
- Evaluate current systems, interfaces, and technical debt to recommend and implement modernization strategies.
- Establish architecture standards for master data management, exception handling, authentication, resiliency, and supportability.
- Partner with IT leadership, business stakeholders, implementation partners, and application owners to deliver solutions that support both operational needs and reporting requirements.

- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise applications architecture, solution design, or integration architecture.
- Expertise in enterprise architecture principles, boundary systems, and application interoperability.
- Strong technical knowledge of integration patterns, master data strategy, authentication, and system dependencies.
- Proven ability to lead vendor evaluations, implement technical governance, and manage platform rationalization initiatives.
- Workday certifications in Integrations and Security are required.
- Experienced in designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-grade Workday integrations.
- Proactive collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and skilled at evaluating current-state systems to recommend modernization strategies.
