Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, gynecological exams, and screenings.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic women’s health conditions.
- Provide counseling and education on reproductive health, contraception, menopause, and sexual health.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to women’s health, including laboratory and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and coordinate referrals to specialty care as needed.
- Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other providers.
- Support prenatal and postnatal care as appropriate to licensure and certification.
- Document patient encounters, maintain accurate medical records, and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
- Promote a welcoming, inclusive environment for all patients, respecting diverse backgrounds and identities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the relevant state.
- Certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or as a Physician Assistant with demonstrated experience in women's health.
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
- Strong clinical knowledge of gynecological, reproductive, and general women’s health issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Prior experience in a women’s health, OB/GYN, or family medicine setting is highly desirable.
