As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to provide preventive care, manage acute and chronic conditions, and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, all within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working as a WHNP offers the unique chance to focus on female reproductive and genitourinary health, providing care for patients aged 12 and older. You will perform routine examinations, deliver immunizations, manage chronic diseases, and conduct periodic women’s health assessments in accordance with established clinical guidelines and your medical treatment facility (MTF) privileges. The role involves close collaboration with other healthcare professionals and offers opportunities for ongoing professional development and mentorship.

Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) - Summary- Deliver comprehensive women’s health services to patients aged 12 and older
- Participate in ongoing education, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support the health and readiness of service members, veterans, and their families
- Provide outcome-based nurse practitioner services within MTF privileges, including screenings, medical care, and examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions
- Focus on reproductive and genitourinary health for female patients
- Administer immunizations and manage chronic disease as per clinical guidelines
- Perform periodic women’s health assessments
- Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions within established protocols
- Promote preventive care, positive health behaviors, and self-care through education and counseling
- Mentor and train staff through evidence-based educational lectures and in-service training
- Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, and continuous quality improvement activities
- Ensure universal precautions and recognize conditions requiring isolation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team

- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, AANP, or Family Health Nurse Certification with NCC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in women’s health within the last 3 years
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Experienced in women's health, preventive services, and chronic disease management
- Effective communicator and collaborator within multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled educator and mentor to peers and staff
- Adheres to best practices, clinical protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
- Physical requirements may include lifting up to 25 lbs independently and periods of prolonged standing or sitting
- Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, not exceeding 40 hours per week, with clinic operations from 6:00am to 6:30pm
