We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods through our warehouse operations. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling, shipping, receiving, and physical movement of products to and from storage locations. This position is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, safety-minded, and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming cartons and products for damages, accurately noting any discrepancies on receiving paperwork, and ensuring products are safely and securely placed in designated warehouse locations. Utilizing hand-held RF scanners, you will maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records. You will also be expected to stage, clean, and tag products, and efficiently move them within the warehouse and to and from trailers as needed. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment by performing regular housekeeping duties such as sweeping, dusting, and removing waste materials.
The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Associate position will have a high school diploma or GED, or at least one year of previous experience in warehouse or inventory control operations. Candidates should possess, or be able to obtain, certification for forklift and order picker operation. Familiarity with non-powered equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and hand trucks is also important. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work well under pressure in deadline-driven situations.
This role involves physical activities such as lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, pushing and pulling products, mounting and dismounting forklifts or trucks, and moving between warehouse and office spaces. The Warehouse Associate typically works in a warehouse environment, which includes moderate noise, varying temperatures, and the presence of mechanical equipment and moving objects. The ability to adapt to different shifts, work hours, and occasionally work independently or as part of a team is essential for success in this role.
