VMware Administrator - Summary
- Oversee administration of VMware environments, including provisioning, system updates, and performance tuning.
- Deliver expert Linux system administration, ensuring uptime and reliability for enterprise systems.
- Act as a key contributor to IT infrastructure projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and security.
- Provide subject matter expertise in virtualization and enterprise storage solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including VM creation, resource allocation, and lifecycle management.
- Implement patching, upgrades, and performance tuning for VMware and Linux systems to maintain optimal system health.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to ensure high availability and business continuity.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design, implement, and maintain system integrity and security protocols.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for virtualization and storage platforms, addressing incidents and service requests promptly.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for enterprise storage and virtualization, offering best practices and guidance on technology enhancements.
- Utilize Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite for automation and management tasks as needed.
- Work with NetApp FAS/AFF hardware arrays, Infrastructure Insights, and Storage Workload Security for comprehensive storage management.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience working with VMware vSphere and vSAN operations in enterprise environments.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration, ensuring reliable and secure operations.
- 2 to 3 years of experience with enterprise storage management, particularly NetApp FAS/AFF hardware arrays.
- Proficiency with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite (preferred).
- Recent, practical experience with Infrastructure Insights and Storage Workload Security solutions.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
