Position Overview The Vice President of Telehealth Operations is a senior executive responsible for designing, scaling, and optimizing end-to-end operational infrastructure for a high-growth virtual care platform. This role oversees clinical operations, technology enablement, and patient experience to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable delivery of telehealth services. The VP will partner cross-functionally with clinical, financial, and executive leadership to align operational execution with strategic growth, quality outcomes, and revenue performance.
Key Responsibilities Operational Strategy & Execution - Develop, implement, and continuously refine end-to-end operational processes to support a rapidly scaling telehealth delivery model
- Establish scalable frameworks for clinical delivery, customer success, and platform operations
- Drive operational excellence through standardization, automation, and process optimization
Clinical & Service Delivery Oversight - Oversee day-to-day telehealth operations, including clinical workflows, provider performance, and patient engagement
- Partner with clinical leadership to optimize provider workflows, scheduling models, staffing ratios, and care delivery protocols
- Ensure a high-quality, seamless patient experience across all virtual care touchpoints
Performance Management & Analytics - Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) across operations, clinical quality, and patient satisfaction
- Develop and maintain reporting systems, dashboards, and data governance processes to drive transparency and accountability
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
Financial Alignment & Growth Enablement - Collaborate with finance leadership to align operational performance with revenue targets, cost structures, and margin objectives
- Support forecasting, capacity planning, and unit economics modeling for telehealth services
- Identify opportunities for cost containment while maintaining or improving care quality and outcomes
Technology & Platform Optimization - Evaluate, recommend, and implement telehealth technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and patient outcomes
- Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure platform capabilities align with operational needs
- Oversee system integrations, vendor platforms, and digital health tools supporting service delivery
Partnership & Vendor Management - Manage relationships with external vendors, provider networks, and strategic partners
- Negotiate service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensure vendor performance meets operational and quality standards
- Support expansion through new partnerships, including onboarding and operational integration
Program Launch & Operational Readiness - Lead operational readiness planning for new client implementations and service line launches
- Develop scalable onboarding processes, training programs, and deployment frameworks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and contractual requirements
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success scaling operations in high-growth healthcare or technology-enabled services environments
- Strong experience with KPI development, operational analytics, and performance management systems
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across clinical, technical, and business domains
- Masters degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent)
- Experience with multi-state telehealth operations, including regulatory and reimbursement frameworks
- Familiarity with value-based care models, population health, and payer-provider dynamics
- Experience working in federal healthcare environments (e.g., DoD, VA, DHA) or highly regulated settings
