The Vice President of Operations (VP of Operations) plays a critical leadership role in overseeing multiple large-scale laundry facilities, ensuring business growth, operational excellence, and optimal financial performance throughout the region. As a core member of the executive team, the VP of Operations partners closely with corporate leadership to align strategic objectives, maintain compliance with corporate policies, and guarantee the consistent delivery of high-quality service to customers. This position is essential for driving continuous improvement, optimizing productivity, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation within the organization.

The VP of Operations is tasked with providing strategic direction and operational oversight to regional plant operations, ensuring that each facility achieves operational efficiency, maintains quality standards, and operates consistently according to company protocols. The role also involves developing and mentoring plant leadership teams, implementing succession planning strategies, and promoting professional growth among staff to maintain a robust management pipeline. Additionally, the VP of Operations is responsible for setting and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, service delivery, and cost management, utilizing these metrics to guide continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial stewardship is a cornerstone of this position. The VP of Operations oversees fiscal performance for all facilities under their purview, managing revenue streams, controlling expenses, and executing budgeting and financial forecasting activities to ensure profitability and sustainability. This leader is also responsible for supporting the sales process, facilitating the successful onboarding of new accounts—particularly within healthcare and contract service environments—and maintaining strong customer relationships to support retention and contract renewals.

The VP of Operations maintains accountability for company assets, overseeing preventive maintenance programs, engineering initiatives, and cost-effective plant operations. Ensuring compliance with human resources requirements—including regulatory training, staffing, payroll, and benefits administration—is also essential. The role requires the execution of both short-term and long-term operational objectives, fostering agility and responsiveness in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
