As a Vascular Surgeon, your expertise will be vital in providing comprehensive perioperative care to patients with vascular conditions. You will be actively involved in inpatient care, outpatient clinic visits, and surgical procedures, ensuring continuity of care and optimal outcomes for every patient. Approximately half of your responsibilities will be dedicated to inpatient care, including daily rounds, admissions, discharges, and consults in the ICU, stepdown, and surgical floor settings. The other half of your time will be spent in the operating room, where you will see an average of 3-4 cases per day across two dedicated OR days each week. These procedures will be performed in a state-of-the-art hybrid OR, allowing for advanced surgical techniques and improved patient outcomes.
Your role will also include acting as a key liaison between the surgical team, hospital staff, consultants, and patients. This requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as a commitment to fostering a team-focused and supportive work environment. The Vascular Surgeon position includes first-assist responsibilities in all vascular surgical cases, making it crucial to possess a high level of surgical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure.
