Vascular Surgeon - Summary
The Vascular Surgeon position requires expertise in assessing and treating a variety of vascular conditions, with a focus on both operative and non-operative management options. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in both open surgical and endovascular interventions, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex vascular needs. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with vascular diseases, including arterial and venous disorders, aneurysms, peripheral artery disease, and carotid artery disease.
- Perform open surgical procedures such as bypass grafting, endarterectomy, and aneurysm repair.
- Conduct minimally invasive endovascular interventions, including angioplasty, stent placement, and thrombolysis.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies relevant to vascular pathology, such as duplex ultrasound, CT angiography, and MR angiography.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families about vascular conditions, treatment options, post-operative care, and risk factor modification.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide emergent vascular care as needed.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based best practices in vascular surgery.
- Engage in continuous education and training to remain current with advancements in vascular surgical techniques and technology.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited general surgery residency followed by a vascular surgery fellowship.
- Board certification or eligibility in Vascular Surgery (ABS or equivalent).
- Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Demonstrated proficiency in both open and endovascular procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
