The Used Equipment Manager plays a vital role in the acquisition, management, and resale of pre-owned equipment for TRC Talent Solutions. This position is designed for individuals who excel at combining operational oversight with strategic sales execution to maximize asset value and drive business growth. As a key member of the management team, the Used Equipment Manager oversees inventory management, supports reconditioning processes, and conducts market analysis to ensure the company remains competitive and responsive to industry trends. The role also requires strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills, as the Used Equipment Manager is responsible for supporting sales efforts, maintaining customer relationships, and leading a team of direct reports.
In this role, the Used Equipment Manager is expected to develop and execute strategies that position the company’s used equipment portfolio for success in the marketplace. This involves analyzing market trends, evaluating performance metrics, and making informed decisions around inventory, pricing, and asset disposition. The Used Equipment Manager will also play a hands-on role in managing the movement, condition, and valuation of inventory, while ensuring that all processes adhere to safety and operational standards. Working collaboratively with service teams and sales professionals, the Used Equipment Manager helps coordinate reconditioning efforts and supports the sales cycle through accurate appraisals and trade valuations. Customer satisfaction and relationship management are also central to the role, with a focus on resolving issues and maintaining high standards of service.
The Used Equipment Manager is responsible for accurate record-keeping and operational efficiency, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems (with a preference for Dynamics). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in used or heavy equipment management, or a related field, and will demonstrate a proven ability to work cross-functionally while leading a team of direct reports.

- 5–7 years of experience in used or heavy equipment management, or a related industry
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management, pricing strategies, and sales support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems (Dynamics preferred)
