Urology Section Chief, MD/DO (Urologist) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient urologic care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of a broad spectrum of urologic conditions
- Perform operative urologic procedures and manage perioperative patient care
- Provide clinical supervision and support to urology staff and allied health professionals
- Oversee and participate in call coverage and inpatient consult services as scheduled
- Lead and participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives
- Mentor medical students, residents, and trainees, fostering an educational environment
- Assist with clinic management, program development, and departmental leadership activities
- Collaborate with other medical departments and specialties to ensure coordinated and multidisciplinary care
- Engage in patient and staff advocacy, supporting the overall mission and strategic goals of the healthcare system

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited urology residency program
- Board eligible or board certified in urology
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States
