Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain medical histories
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests including x-rays and laboratory results
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform minor surgical procedures and therapeutic interventions within the urology specialty
- Prescribe medications as appropriate and monitor patient response to treatment
- Deliver preventive care and patient education across the lifespan, from newborn to geriatric populations
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and professional development

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensure required
- Active Texas license preferred; candidates eligible for Texas licensure will be considered
- Minimum of one year of relevant urology experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations or RN background in urology are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated ability to perform and interpret diagnostic and minor surgical procedures
