Palm Health Resources is seeking a dedicated and skilled Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP, APRN) for a full-time, contract-based assignment in San Francisco. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative urology surgery team, providing exceptional patient care in a robust clinical environment. As a Urology Nurse Practitioner, you will help address the needs of adult and geriatric patients, with some exposure to older adolescent populations, while enjoying the benefits of working alongside experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), registered nurses, and patient coordinators.

This is an exciting six-month contract, ideal for those looking to broaden their clinical experience in urology and surgical oncology. Working in San Francisco provides access to a vibrant city known for its diverse culinary scene, proximity to waterfront activities, and easy access to the renowned Napa Valley. The assignment's schedule is flexible, offering either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week, with no call requirements, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while contributing your talents to a well-respected healthcare team.

As a Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP, APRN), you will play a pivotal role in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with urologic and related surgical conditions. You will utilize your expertise to provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, leveraging your knowledge of surgical oncology, surgery, urology, or medical oncology to deliver top-quality services. The position requires proficiency in using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system and mandates a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

The Urology Nurse Practitioner (NP, APRN) will be supported by an integrated team, including registered nurses who assist with clinical duties and patient coordinators who manage scheduling and administrative responsibilities. The collaborative environment fosters continuous learning and mentorship, making this a great fit for both experienced practitioners and those newer to the field who possess strong backgrounds in surgical oncology or urology.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be board certified, hold an active DEA license, and have valid AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A minimum of one to two years of direct experience in a relevant specialty is required, though graduates with significant prior nursing experience in surgical oncology or urology are encouraged to apply. The patient load is manageable, averaging 8 to 10 patients per day, allowing you to provide thorough and attentive care to each individual.
