Urologist (MD/DO) - Summary
This role is designed for a board-certified or board-eligible Urologist with at least two years of clinical experience. The full-time, contract-based position includes 24-hour call coverage and inpatient rounding blocks across scheduled dates in 2026. Candidates must possess an active Indiana medical license or be eligible via IMLC, along with required DEA and CSR certifications. The hospital utilizes Epic EMR for patient management and offers a full complement of support staff to ensure smooth operations. Credentialing is streamlined, with temporary privileges available and a standard timeline for full credentialing of 60-90 days.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive urological care including diagnosis, treatment, and management of adult and pediatric patients.
- Perform a broad spectrum of urology procedures such as ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, robotic surgery, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, laparoscopic surgeries, renal and bladder ultrasound and biopsy, and incontinence procedures.
- Deliver 24-hour call coverage, including at least two hours of inpatient rounding daily during designated blocks.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including a full support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for efficient and accurate patient documentation and care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and adhere to hospital policies and best practices for patient safety and quality care.
- Engage in consultative services within the hospital, providing expertise in both scheduled and urgent cases.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of a Urology residency.
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Urology.
- Active Indiana medical license (IN) or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Current DEA and CSR certifications required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications mandatory.
- Minimum of two years of independent clinical experience in Urology.
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
