We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO) to join a dynamic healthcare team. This position offers an opportunity for physicians who are passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role is designed for those who thrive in environments where they can make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of a diverse patient population. The urgent care facility is equipped with a supportive office staff and a full clinical team to assist in delivering exceptional medical services to adults and children alike. Employment opportunities are available on a per diem or ongoing locum basis, with various shift options, making this a flexible position suitable for physicians looking to supplement their practice or maintain work-life balance.

The Urgent Care Physician (MD/DO) will be responsible for attending to a daily patient census that consists of both adults and pediatric populations, averaging between 30 to 40 patients per day. The scope of practice includes treating a broad range of urgent care conditions such as respiratory illnesses, minor injuries, and performing routine physicals, including Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals. The ability to manage lacerations and perform standard "bread and butter" urgent care procedures is essential for success in this role. Physicians with experience using the Experity Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system will find their skills particularly valuable, although training is available for those new to this platform.

Shifts are available throughout the week, with extended hours to ensure comprehensive patient coverage. Monday through Saturday shifts run from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., while Sunday coverage is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This flexible scheduling model enables physicians to select shifts that best fit their personal and professional needs. Additionally, mileage reimbursement is offered to help offset travel costs associated with these assignments, enhancing the overall appeal of the position for interested candidates.

Candidates must hold an active and unrestricted state medical license and DEA registration to be eligible for consideration. The facility welcomes applications from board-certified or board-eligible physicians with a background in family medicine, emergency medicine, or a related specialty. Strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team are essential attributes for this position. Previous urgent care experience and a working knowledge of Experity EMR are considered advantageous, but not mandatory.

This opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking a rewarding locum tenens or per diem position in urgent care. The supportive environment, comprehensive resources, and commitment to best practices in patient care make this an excellent choice for medical professionals looking to broaden their clinical experience and make a positive difference in their community.
