As an Urgent Care Physician, you will be expected to start as soon as credentialing is complete. The primary schedule involves two weekends per month, with four to six shifts ongoing. Shifts include Fridays from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday, Sunday, and holiday shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Patient acuity and volume vary by shift, ensuring a stimulating workday and ongoing professional growth. The clinic utilizes the Cerner EMR system, streamlining patient documentation and supporting efficient, coordinated care. You will work alongside an experienced team, providing comprehensive services to internal medicine, family medicine, pediatric, and specialty patients. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. An active Iowa medical license or eligibility for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) is required. - Document all patient encounters accurately and promptly using Cerner EMR
- Participate in ongoing clinic operations, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical protocols
- Provide consultative support as needed to neighboring hospital departments
