We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team in a hospital-owned outpatient urgent care clinic. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity designed for healthcare professionals passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting. The urgent care clinic is equipped with modern facilities, including onsite radiology, multiple exam rooms, and specialized procedure and isolation rooms. Providers are supported by an experienced clinical team, including registered nurses (RNs) and certified medical assistants (CMAs), ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for managing a broad spectrum of acute and non-emergent conditions. With patient volumes ranging from 20 to 40 per day, our team is committed to providing high-quality, timely medical care while maintaining a patient-centered approach. For clinicians averaging over 15 patients per day, the clinic provides a medical scribe to enhance workflow and documentation efficiency. Flexible scheduling is available, with options for 10 or 12-hour shifts across three or four days per week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent and non-emergent medical conditions
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and perform minor procedures as appropriate to the scope of practice
- Work closely with RNs, CMAs, and support staff to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care
- Utilize onsite radiology and other diagnostic resources as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records with the support of a medical scribe (for patient loads exceeding 15 per day)
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations
- Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives within the clinic

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Relevant clinical experience in urgent care, immediate care, or emergency medicine settings
- Certification and credentials appropriate to the role (e.g., NCCPA for PAs, board certification for NPs)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional integrity
