Palm Health Resources is actively seeking an experienced Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join a reputable and established urgent care center in Coastal NC. As a key member of the urgent care team, this position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality healthcare services in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) will be responsible for a wide range of clinical duties, including health assessments, prescribing treatments, performing regulatory exams, and undertaking various procedures within the walk-in clinic setting. This role operates under the direction and supervision of assigned physicians, as per collaborative agreements, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
The Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) is an integral part of the clinical team, expected to engage in ongoing quality assurance and improvement initiatives. The provider will also participate in team-based activities, utilizing resources effectively and maintaining a patient-centered approach. Flexibility in scheduling is paramount, as the position requires availability for weekends, evenings, holidays, and extended 12-hour shifts. Additionally, the ability to work at various regional urgent care locations, as directed by administration, is necessary.
Independence and adaptability are essential traits for success in this role. The Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) must demonstrate strong situational awareness and the agility to respond rapidly to patient needs without compromising the quality of care or customer service. Maintaining current continuing education credits, as determined by applicable licensing bodies, is required. The provider should also uphold prescriptive authority, acquire additional clinical competencies as needed by the organization, and actively participate in quality assurance and utilization management processes. Assistance with risk management functions is also expected.
The position calls for candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, immediate care, or emergency care environments. A solid understanding of advanced medical terminology is required, along with familiarity with procedures in emergency medicine, internal medicine, occupational medicine, and family practice. While the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) certification is not required upon hire, successful candidates are expected to complete this certification within 30 days of employment.
