The opportunity to make a significant impact on healthcare technology awaits experienced professionals in the field of user interface design. As a UI Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the usability and efficiency of modern, workflow-driven web applications that support internal operations teams within a healthcare technology organization. This full-time position offers the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the creation of intuitive, high-fidelity digital solutions that enhance the end-user experience.
The UI Designer will focus on high-fidelity user interface design, interactive prototyping, and the development of scalable, consistent design systems using Figma. The primary responsibility revolves around translating complex operational workflows into clear, usable interfaces. Working closely with a Lead UI Designer, project managers, and software engineers, you will ensure that every design solution addresses real-world challenges faced by internal stakeholders, prioritizing functionality, clarity, and efficiency.
Collaboration is at the core of this role, with the UI Designer expected to participate in regular design reviews, feedback sessions, and agile development cycles. This approach fosters a culture of continuous improvement and encourages the integration of innovative design practices. Utilizing Figma, you will be responsible for building and maintaining reusable components, leveraging auto-layout features, and creating interactive prototypes that facilitate clear communication of design intent to both technical and non-technical collaborators.
Key requirements for this UI Designer position include a minimum of five years of experience designing user interfaces for complex web applications. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong proficiency in Figma, particularly in the areas of component creation, auto-layout, and prototyping. A portfolio that showcases real product work, including examples of end-to-end design processes, is essential. Experience designing for data-heavy or workflow-driven applications is highly valued, as is the ability to articulate design decisions and the rationale behind them.
This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule in the Pittsburgh area, as well as the possibility for remote work. While local candidates may be given priority, the organization is open to considering highly qualified remote professionals. Joining this team means contributing to a mission-driven company that values user-centric design, promotes professional growth, and fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration. If you are passionate about designing systems—rather than just screens—and can demonstrate your expertise through a robust portfolio, this UI Designer opportunity may be the ideal next step in your career.
