As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of existing training articles and programs at the plant/mill location. This includes reviewing current learning initiatives, tracking them using standardized forms, and working closely with employees to capture accurate data and insights. The successful candidate will bring prior experience from the manufacturing industry and demonstrate a keen understanding of L&D best practices and methodologies. You will be the bridge between the Human Resources team—who have already completed some training audits—and the operational staff, ensuring all training materials are up-to-date and reflective of the organization's commitment to quality and safety.

Training Specialist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct and document comprehensive assessments of training articles, programs, and modalities across multiple operational areas.
- Meet directly with plant employees to collect, review, and evaluate feedback on current training effectiveness and relevance.
- Utilize forms and tracking tools to ensure accurate capture and reporting of due diligence findings.
- Collaborate with HR and other stakeholders to ensure all training data is appropriately recorded and maintained.
- Provide clear recommendations for improvements to enhance learning outcomes and compliance.
- Maintain awareness of the latest developments in L&D best practices within the manufacturing sector.
- Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement through effective training audits and feedback loops.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Training Specialist or in a similar L&D role conducting due diligence on training material.
- Experience working directly in the manufacturing industry, especially with frontline teams in a plant/mill environment.
- Strong understanding of Learning & Development methodology, including multiple learning modalities and evaluation techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail in data collection and analysis.
