Working as a Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Los Angeles, CA, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal surgical outcomes. This position focuses exclusively on intraoperative support—first assisting in all cases, with no responsibility for preoperative or postoperative management, allowing you to develop deep expertise in the operating room. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, particularly within thoracic procedures, and your work will include the use of the Da Vinci XI robotic system.
Responsibilities will include assisting in thoracic surgery cases such as thoracotomies and lung lobectomies, as well as additional procedures in gynecology (such as hysterectomies) and urology (including prostatectomies and nephrectomies). The Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) will work Monday through Friday, with shifts beginning at either 6:45am or 9:00am, and will participate in a rotating call schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
This contract position offers excellent compensation along with comprehensive travel and lodging support for candidates traveling to join the team. The employer provides all necessary resources for licensure in California, ensuring qualified Physician Assistants can begin work as soon as possible.
