As a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care for adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring in an acute care telemetry setting. You will play an integral role in monitoring and interpreting complex cardiac rhythms, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and responding swiftly to critical changes in patient status. Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients in a telemetry unit
- Monitor, interpret, and report on cardiac rhythms using ECG/telemetry systems
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with Decypher, hospital, and regulatory standards
Duties & Responsibilities
- Apply and monitor ECG electrodes, document and interpret telemetry data, and communicate cardiac rhythm changes promptly
- Obtain, analyze, and post rhythm strips in patient records according to unit protocols
- Identify and respond to life-threatening dysrhythmias, activating emergency cardiac response teams as needed
- Monitor continuous pulse oximetry and document changes in patient status
- Notify providers of significant changes in monitoring parameters and adjust electrode placement as needed
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and the conduction system
- Adhere to unit and hospital standard operating procedures related to telemetry
- Exercise sound clinical judgment in high-pressure situations involving cardiac emergencies
- Analyze temporary pacemaker function and immediately report critical findings
- Care for post-surgical cardiac patients, including those with chest tubes and drainage management
- Administer intravenous cardiac and antiarrhythmic medications in accordance with established protocols
- Participate in ongoing education, skills fairs, and training to maintain clinical competency and compliance
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of $59.50
- Additional Health and Welfare contribution of $4.93 per hour

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, Associate Degree, or BSN)
- Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. jurisdiction
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Basic dysrhythmia course completion with certificate required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year full-time experience within the last three (3) years in acute care telemetry with adult cardiac monitoring
