Telehealth Rheumatologist, MD/DO – Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual consultations and follow-up appointments for adult patients with rheumatologic conditions
- Diagnose and manage a range of rheumatologic diseases, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and osteoporosis
- Utilize evidence-based treatment protocols and prescribe medications, including biologics for osteoporosis as appropriate
- Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic medical record system (eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Collaborate with a remote clinical team, including a medical office assistant, licensed practical nurse (LPN), and front desk staff, to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
- Adhere to all telehealth best practices and clinic protocols for remote patient care
- Provide education and guidance to patients regarding their conditions, medications, and ongoing care needs
- Participate in virtual team meetings and maintain open communication with staff and leadership

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Rheumatology by an ABMS member board or AOA OCC
- Unrestricted and active medical license to practice in New York
- Experience in treating osteoporosis with biologics
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EMR preferred

- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
