The Technical Program Manager (TPM) plays a pivotal role in driving mission-critical programs at the intersection of artificial intelligence, psychology, and clinical research. This position is responsible for managing and scaling human data initiatives that support AI safety and trust & safety operations. As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will collaborate with leading AI model builders and clinical researchers to ensure that human data used in evaluating and aligning AI models is of the highest quality, directly impacting the safety and reliability of AI technologies. This role provides an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment focused on operational excellence, systems-building, and the advancement of AI safety.
As an integral member of the team, you will design, implement, and oversee human data programs that assist leading laboratories and application-layer organizations in mitigating risk and operationalizing trust & safety policies. This includes managing the full lifecycle of human data operations, from initial design and rubric development to evaluation, benchmarking, and red teaming. The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will work closely with policy, product, and engineering teams to turn complex safety objectives into actionable plans that deliver measurable results.

Technical Program Manager (TPM) - Summary
- Lead end-to-end human data programs supporting AI safety initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to operationalize trust & safety policies

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage large-scale human data programs for AI model evaluation and safety
- Operationalize trust & safety policies into structured, scalable workflows
- Develop and refine rubrics, taxonomies, and evaluation frameworks to ensure consistent and auditable program outcomes
- Lead red teaming exercises and edge-case discovery to proactively identify and address potential AI model risks
- Coordinate the efforts of internal and external stakeholders, including policy, product, engineering teams, and clinical experts
- Oversee quality assurance and process optimization for contractor and vendor-based review workflows
- Translate high-level safety objectives into actionable plans with clear deliverables and metrics
- Maintain documentation and reporting systems to monitor program performance and outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements
- 6+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional technical programs
- Demonstrated expertise in managing expert, contractor, or vendor-based review workflows at scale
- Background in human data operations, trust & safety, or evaluation programs
- Hands-on experience with AI evaluation, red teaming, LLM alignment, or model benchmarking
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous safety goals into structured, repeatable playbooks
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills balancing quality, speed, and cost
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available
