Technical Apparel Designer Assistant - Summary
- Support the execution of global merchandise production by focusing on technical documentation, artwork preparation, and production coordination.
- Work alongside apparel designers and production teams to ensure garments and accessories are manufacturing-ready and meet company standards.
- Create, organize, and maintain tech packs for printables, cut & sew garments, and accessories.
- Prepare high-quality, production-ready artwork optimized for screen printing and apparel construction.
- Assist with sample management, maintain communication with factories, and track project timelines to ensure smooth workflow.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with apparel designers and production teams to translate creative concepts into precise technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive tech packs, including detailed measurements, construction details, and artwork placement for various apparel and accessory products.
- Prepare and optimize artwork for production, ensuring all files are suitable for screen printing and appropriate for apparel construction methods.
- Assist with managing samples, including tracking shipments, organizing sample libraries, and providing feedback to vendors.
- Communicate effectively with factories and vendors to address technical questions and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Monitor production timelines and coordinate with team members to keep projects on schedule.
- Apply knowledge of Simulated Spot Process printing and screen printing fundamentals to optimize apparel graphics for manufacturing.
