The Tableau Administrator plays an essential role in supporting the efficient operation of enterprise data environments for organizations specializing in information technology services, particularly those serving federal and state agencies. Tableau Administrator - Summary
- Responsible for managing and maintaining Tableau Server environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
- Utilizes Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep to develop data visualizations and reports that drive informed business decisions.
- Employs Erwin Data Modeler and ER360 for comprehensive data modeling, database design, and technical documentation.
- Supports the implementation and adherence to data governance and security standards in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Works collaboratively within cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows and enterprise data architecture.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day administration of Tableau Server, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maximize uptime and performance.
- Develop, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep.
- Leverage Erwin Data Modeler and ER360 to design, document, and maintain logical and physical data models, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data assets.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and comply with all federal and state data governance requirements.
- Partner with IT, data engineering, and analytics teams to streamline data integration, migration, and transformation processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of data management, reporting standards, and best practices within the organization.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for Tableau and Erwin tools-related issues.
- Stay current with evolving trends and technologies in data visualization, modeling, and security compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Tableau Server Administration within enterprise or government environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep software for data visualization and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler and ER360, including data modeling and database design.
- In-depth knowledge of data governance, enterprise data architecture, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Ability to pass federal, FTI, and CJIS background checks as required by client contracts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in collaborative team settings.
