- Perform full spectrum of sterile techniques, including preparing surgical trays and draping patients for surgery.

- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for sterilization, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Maintain and restock operating room supplies and equipment, monitor expiration dates, and organize clinical areas.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, assist with patient intake, and record vital signs.
- Support environmental maintenance by cleaning or guiding others in cleaning clinical spaces and equipment.
- Assist in the breakdown of surgical rooms, transport dirty instruments to sterile processing, and deliver specimens to the lab.
- Ensure pharmacy supplies, such as lidocaine, are available and accessible.
- Perform daily room checks and maintain a safe, organized, sterile operating environment.

- Graduate from a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of a formal U.S. Armed Forces training program for surgical technicians.
- Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) from NBSTSA or as a Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C) from NCCT, or a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) certification as a surgical technician or operating room technician.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician after graduation.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 40-50 pounds.
- Physical ability for prolonged standing, bending, and repetitive hand movements.
- Detail-oriented with strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
