Surgical Scheduler - Summary
The Surgical Scheduler plays an essential role in organizing and managing all aspects of patient scheduling for surgeries, including pre-operative and post-operative appointments, insurance verification, and authorizations. Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of surgical and procedure scheduling, including pre-operative and post-operative appointments.
- Verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and ensure all required documentation is completed prior to procedures.
- Serve as the main liaison between patients, physicians, and other departments, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Prepare, review, and update patient charts, ensuring demographic and insurance information is current and accurate.
- Work closely with the billing team to support audits and guarantee precise submission of surgical reports and charges.
- Provide concierge-level coordination and direct support to patients, addressing questions and resolving issues with professionalism and care.
- Manage physician correspondence, including handling referral work queues and ensuring all correspondence is responded to in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other administrative and clinical staff to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum of one year of experience in surgery or procedure scheduling within a healthcare environment.
