Surgical Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary
- Support endocrine surgery services through both office and operating room responsibilities.
- Work with a dedicated team of surgeons and physician assistants.
- Comprehensive training and mentorship for individuals new to surgery or endocrine specialties.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, pre-operative evaluations, and post-operative follow-ups under the guidance of endocrine surgeons.
- Prepare patients for surgery and participate as a first assist in the operating room as competence allows.
- Manage patient flow in outpatient clinics, handling up to 40 patients on office days and up to 5 surgical cases on designated OR days.
- Coordinate care across multiple hospital settings, maintaining strong communication with multidisciplinary teams.
- Complete required documentation and ensure accurate, timely patient records in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training, shadowing experienced PAs to enhance clinical and surgical skills.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program; PA-C certification required.
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant must be in good standing.
- Previous experience in surgical or multi-specialty care preferred, but not mandatory.
