As a Surgical Critical Care Physician (Intensivist), you will be responsible for comprehensive patient care within the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) and the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU). The patient census per shift typically ranges from 8 to 14, ensuring focused and attentive care. Your clinical expertise in advanced procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, chest tube insertion, and thoracentesis is essential for the ongoing management of critically ill cardiac patients.
The work schedule consists of onsite 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, with a flexible rotation that includes both day and night shifts, and a focus on weekend coverage. Additional responsibilities may include nighttime call coverage at designated locations following shift hours. Throughout your assignment, you will receive robust support from Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), allowing you to focus on delivering high-acuity care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Surgical Critical Care Physician (Intensivist) - Summary- Locum position for a Surgical Critical Care Physician (Intensivist)
