Supply Chain Specialist - Summary
- Serve as a key contact for procurement and purchasing activities, supporting the purchasing team with daily operations.
- Manage end-to-end supply chain processes, including purchase requisitions, supplier follow-ups, and contract administration.
- Promote efficient and cost-effective procurement strategies while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with processing purchase requisitions and ensuring accurate tracking of orders.
- Provide timely follow-up with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order confirmations.
- Collaborate with the Contract Administrator and Purchasing Supervisor to develop, evaluate, and renew purchasing contracts.
- Prepare and place purchase orders, verifying all vendor details, pricing, and contractual terms.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements aligned with current contracts.
- Coordinate with multiple departments to resolve invoice discrepancies or delivery issues, and recommend cost-effective alternatives when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and procurement functions.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; higher education or certifications in supply chain, logistics, or procurement are a plus.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a purchasing department or related supply chain role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with vendors and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
