We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Structural Project Engineer (PE) to join a leading structural engineering firm recognized internationally for its innovative and award-winning work. This full-time opportunity is based in San Diego, CA, and offers the chance to contribute to the design and detailing of structural systems for large, complex, and iconic structures, with a primary focus on Type I construction projects across diverse market sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed structural design and analysis using steel, concrete, and other structural materials to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate actively with Revit technicians, architects, and multidisciplinary consultants to develop coordinated design solutions for complex building projects.
- Support the preparation and refinement of comprehensive construction documents, ensuring the highest standards of design quality and technical accuracy are met.
- Contribute engineering expertise to projects within healthcare, education, commercial, and high-rise residential sectors, addressing the unique requirements of each market.

Qualifications
- 3 to 6+ years of structural engineering experience specifically in building design, demonstrating a strong foundation in the core principles and practices of the discipline.
- Extensive proficiency in steel and concrete design is required; experience with additional structural materials is considered a valuable asset.
- Prior exposure to DSA (Division of the State Architect) and OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) projects is highly advantageous and will be favorably considered.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from a U.S. university is required, ensuring a solid educational background and technical expertise.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration and project execution within multidisciplinary teams.
