Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering design for small to medium-sized building projects from concept through construction.
- Support senior engineers on large-scale projects, managing specific portions of the structural scope.
- Develop and review structural concepts, calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure project completion on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Participate in all phases of design reviews and project coordination.
- Design structural systems for a variety of building types, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, and construction drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software.
- Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions, monitor construction, and address field issues.
- Review RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and construction documentation.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, budget monitoring, and deliverable coordination.
- Contribute to the development of engineering standards, drawing details, and sustainable design practices.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and support process improvements in engineering quality and project delivery.
- Assist in preparing proposals, fee estimates, and technical presentations as needed.
- Support business development by maintaining positive client relationships and providing technical expertise.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in commercial or institutional building projects.
- Demonstrated experience with multidisciplinary project teams and architecturally significant projects is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience using structural analysis software for building design.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, engineering principles, applicable building codes, and sustainable design practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- California Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred; LEED Accredited Professional or Green Associate is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
