As a Structural Engineer PE, you will lead technical teams responsible for executing structural analysis and design for a variety of complex DoD facilities. You will be the Engineer of Record on multiple projects, overseeing the development of construction documents, design criteria, and structural calculations while ensuring compliance with stringent codes and standards such as UFC/DoD criteria, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC. Your expertise in reinforced concrete, steel, and specialty structural systems will be utilized in designing for blast, progressive collapse, seismic, wind, and force protection requirements, supporting the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, civil, geotechnical, and MEP professionals. Your responsibilities will extend to construction administration, where you will review shop drawings, respond to RFIs and submittals, and resolve field issues during site visits. You will also interface with government stakeholders and project managers, ensuring that all design and documentation meet federal expectations and security protocols. Participation in design reviews, preparation of responses to government comments, and strict adherence to quality control procedures are all integral aspects of this position.
In addition to technical leadership, you will mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering the next generation of structural engineering talent. Your commitment to internal QA/QC reviews, contribution to technical standards, and involvement in proposal development for new projects will further support the consultancy’s mission of delivering excellence in defense-related structural engineering.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred or ability to obtain
- At least 10 years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with federal or DoD projects; knowledge of force protection and blast-resistant design preferred
- Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, SAFE, and relevant analysis software
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (active clearance preferred)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Experienced structural engineer with federal/DoD project background
