Structural Drafter – Revit, CAD, BIM SummaryThe Structural Drafter – Revit, CAD, BIM is responsible for preparing detailed and accurate structural drawings, drafting construction documents, and supporting engineers with 3D modeling and coordination tasks. This position requires proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows, as well as the ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings. Duties & Responsibilities- Drawing & Drafting:
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software under the supervision of structural engineers
- Draft construction documents, including foundations, framing, floor plans, sections, and detailed views for a variety of project types
- Update and revise drawings based on markups and design changes from engineers and project managers
- 3D Modeling & Coordination:
- Assist with 3D modeling of structural systems for project coordination and visualization
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other drafters to ensure multidisciplinary coordination of design elements
- Quality & Documentation:
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and applicable building codes
- Maintain organized documentation and version control of project drawings for effective project management

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of structural drafting experience, ideally within an architectural or engineering firm; exposure to commercial, healthcare, residential, or institutional projects is a plus
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Revit and experience with BIM workflows
- Familiarity with structural systems such as steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications
- Experience with Bluebeam, Navisworks, or other coordination tools
- Knowledge of local building codes and construction standards relevant to Los Angeles, CA
