Key Responsibilities
- Sort materials and components to meet specific job requirements, supporting the workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Return unused or completed materials from various jobs to designated stock locations, maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Supply materials for all assigned jobs in a timely manner, contributing to uninterrupted production processes.
- Read and interpret job specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of work instructions and requirements.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for defects, damage, and conformance to company and industry standards.
- Obtain and record cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with buyers and purchasers to facilitate the smooth movement of materials and resolve any discrepancies.
- Notify management regarding non-conforming materials, shortages, or product issues, assisting with problem resolution and process improvement.
- Record data meticulously using both manual and computerized systems, requiring proficiency in computer and data entry skills.
- Use precision measuring instruments and devices to assess the dimensional accuracy, fit, and functionality of purchased parts, assemblies, and accessories.
- Approve or reject items based on inspection outcomes, accurately documenting decisions and actions.
- Inspect materials on production lines and for outgoing shipments to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Monitor the work environment for unsafe conditions, correcting issues as needed and following health and safety regulations at all times.
- Practice safe lifting techniques and adhere to proper material handling procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall team and operational goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 year of related experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or similar environment preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer operations and data entry is essential for success in this role.
- Ability to climb stair ladders, lift up to 30 lbs, and follow detailed instructions while working independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong punctuality, reliability, and attendance record are required.

Physical Demands
