Working as a Staff Accountant, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions, general ledger activities, payroll processing, accounts payable, and 401(k) reporting. The role requires proficiency with relevant accounting software, a strong understanding of GAAP, and the ability to prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support comprehensive financial reporting. You will also assist with tax compliance and reporting, manage expense reports, and participate in audits and special projects as needed. The ideal Staff Accountant will possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with at least two years of experience in general accounting. Staff Accountant - Summary- Full-time hybrid role reporting to company headquarters
- Key contributor to core accounting operations and compliance
- Utilizes NetSuite, Stampli, and other financial systems
- Supports financial reporting and audit activities
- Perform daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries and payroll processing
- Handle accounts payable, banking transactions, and 401(k) reporting
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts for accurate financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate financial policies
- Assist with tax reporting, accruals, and use tax reconciliation
- Support federal, state, and local compliance requirements
- Maintain organized documentation for corporate insurance and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate annual financial audit preparation, including schedules and auditor inquiries
- Assist with cost accounting analysis and review
- Provide financial data for audits, fundraising, and due diligence initiatives
- Review and import expense reports into NetSuite
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial initiatives as assigned
