Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating clients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Utilizing the latest clinical practices and technologies, the SLP supports clients in achieving measurable progress through customized therapy plans, ongoing assessment, and family education. Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders, using standardized diagnostic tools and protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and best evidence-based practices.
- Provide direct therapeutic interventions to clients across a range of ages and clinical presentations, including articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, and dysphagia.
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, techniques, and strategies to support ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
- Ensure compliance with all licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements as stipulated by state and national boards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and valid state Speech-Language Pathology License.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Valid driver’s license with photo identification.
- Up-to-date resume and signed attestation form verifying credentials and experience.
- Completed skills checklist and documentation of relevant clinical competencies.
- Proof of personal or agency certificate of liability insurance.
