In this role, you will deliver individualized and small-group therapy to students assigned to your caseload. You will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations and re-evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs, as well as developing and maintaining detailed Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements. Collaboration is central – you will partner closely with general and special education teachers to integrate communication goals throughout the school day and ensure consistency in student support. Active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and family conferences is expected, helping to create a cohesive approach to student development.
Applicants for the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position must possess a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and hold or be eligible for the appropriate state school SLP certification. Previous experience working with school-aged children who present with various communication disorders—including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)—is highly preferred.
