Aspire Educational Services is actively seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based opportunity at New Foundations Charter School Torresdale K-8. This position offers a meaningful chance to support students in developing essential communication skills, which are crucial for their academic and social success. As a licensed SLP, you will play an integral role in fostering student growth and achievement by delivering high-quality speech and language services in an educational environment.

In this role, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide focused speech-language therapy to students, both individually and in small groups, in alignment with their educational and developmental needs. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations, maintaining and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of educators and specialists. This collaborative approach ensures that students receive consistent support throughout their school day, enhancing the effectiveness of their communication goals.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and family conferences, working closely with general and special education teachers, administrators, and family members. This partnership is vital for creating and implementing effective communication strategies within the school setting. Additionally, you will be expected to document student progress, adjust intervention plans as necessary, and remain informed about the latest practices and advancements in speech-language pathology, especially as they pertain to school-aged children.

Applicants are required to hold a current Pennsylvania Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and possess or be eligible for a valid Pennsylvania school SLP certification. Experience working with school-aged children who present a range of communication disorders—such as articulation, language, fluency, voice, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)—is highly valued.
