Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Summary
- Deliver speech and language services to students in a supportive, collaborative school environment.
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student educational goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and legal requirements.
- Engage with families and staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students referred for assessment.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions targeting speech, language, and communication goals.
- Participate actively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and review student goals and progress.
- Maintain compliance with all documentation requirements, ensuring accurate and timely records of assessments, interventions, and student outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective communication strategies within the classroom and school environment.
- Provide consultation and support to staff regarding best practices for supporting students with speech and language needs.
- Stay informed of current research and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology to continually enhance service delivery.
