Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct speech and language intervention services to students in individual, group, or classroom settings.
- Conduct screenings, comprehensive assessments, and evaluations to determine students’ needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with IEP teams.
- Monitor and document students’ progress toward speech and language goals, maintaining accurate and timely records.
- Provide guidance and training to teachers and staff on effective communication strategies and accommodations.
- Engage in professional development and stay up-to-date with current practices in speech-language pathology.
- Collaborate with families to support students’ communication development both at school and at home.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Texas state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing caseloads.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families from diverse backgrounds.
