Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough speech-language assessments and prepare detailed evaluation reports
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
- Develop, implement, and monitor progress on individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to design classroom strategies that support students’ communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with school and legal standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathology

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Texas state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP); CCC-SLP certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of school-based service delivery models
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
