Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy services in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans to address students’ speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and other specialists to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.
- Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior interventions related to communication goals.
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate actively in IEP meetings and team conferences.
- Communicate with families and caregivers, providing updates and resources to support student success at home and in school.
- Stay up to date with advancements in speech-language pathology and maintain adherence to all professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Previous experience working with students or in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
