As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a pivotal role in the educational community by assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders. Your expertise will be integral in designing individualized treatment plans for students in kindergarten through 12th grade, empowering them to communicate effectively and confidently. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to ensure comprehensive support for each student’s unique needs.

The ideal candidate for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role will demonstrate a deep commitment to student success, a thorough understanding of speech-language pathology principles, and the ability to work seamlessly within interdisciplinary teams. You will conduct thorough assessments and evaluations using standardized tools and best practices to identify speech, language, and communication disorders. Following assessment, you will develop and execute evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to each student’s goals and challenges, while regularly monitoring progress and adapting strategies as necessary.

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position involves both direct and consultative service delivery, ensuring that students receive individualized attention in one-on-one, small group, or classroom settings. You will also provide recommendations and resources to teachers and families to support students’ continued progress outside of therapy sessions. This collaborative approach not only addresses students’ immediate communication needs but also promotes their long-term academic and social development.

To qualify for the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position, candidates must hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. An active or eligible NH SLP license and Department of Education (DOE) certification are required. While Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred, Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply and will receive appropriate supervision and mentorship to support their professional growth.
