Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Summary
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will conduct evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing communication or swallowing difficulties. Your expertise will enable clients to overcome barriers and achieve functional outcomes. The position involves regular interaction with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders using standardized tools and clinical observations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client goals.
- Implement evidence-based therapy interventions for a diverse client population, including children and adults.
- Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to support client progress and education.
- Train family members and caregivers in techniques to support communication and swallowing at home.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to ensure well-coordinated care.
- Maintain current knowledge of advances and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Adhere to ethical practices and professional standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and local regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in clinical, educational, or healthcare settings is advantageous but not required for entry-level candidates.
