Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Summary
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students within a school setting.
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to support student communication goals.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student assessments.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess students to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Create and implement treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Provide therapy in individual and group settings to address identified communication challenges.
- Consult with teachers and staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, assessments, and interventions.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team planning process.
- Educate students, families, and school staff about speech and language development and strategies for support.
- Adhere to ethical standards and best practices for Speech Language Pathology.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligibility for clinical fellowship year (CFY).
- State licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
