Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Summary- Deliver individualized instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring progress toward IEP goals.
- Work in both inclusion and resource classroom environments to support diverse learners.
- Monitor, assess, and report on students' academic and behavioral development.
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all federal and state special education requirements.
- Plan and deliver instruction based on students' individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Adapt curriculum and modify instructional materials to accommodate learning differences.
- Support students in achieving educational, social, and behavioral goals within inclusive and resource settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing ongoing feedback and assessments.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on goal setting and progress evaluation.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and needs.
- Work closely with other teachers, specialists, and support staff to coordinate services and interventions.
