Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

- Collaborate consistently with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide cohesive instruction and support
- Utilize differentiated teaching strategies and behavioral interventions to address diverse learning needs
- Provide direct instruction and interventions in both inclusive classroom settings and specialized pull-out environments
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals, maintaining accurate and thorough records
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for continued support
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training relevant to special education best practices

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field
- Active or eligible teaching certification in New Hampshire (NH)
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and documentation
