Special Education Teacher (SPED) – Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths, learning styles, and needs
- Deliver direct instruction in both resource rooms and inclusive classroom settings, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all learners
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to facilitate student achievement and inclusion
- Maintain regular, constructive communication with families, providing progress updates and involving them in the educational process
- Monitor student progress by collecting and analyzing data, using results to adjust instructional strategies and interventions as necessary
- Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and district policies, including compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student records, IEPs, progress reports, and communication logs
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings as required

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field
- Active and valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
